TOGAF Certified — Enterprise Architecture Framework
The world’s most widely adopted enterprise architecture framework. TOGAF bridges business strategy and IT delivery — essential for Jamaica’s bank CIOs, eGov digital transformation leaders, and senior IT architects driving the island’s digital economy.
What Is TOGAF?
TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) is the world’s most widely used enterprise architecture (EA) framework — adopted by governments, banks, and large corporates globally. It provides a structured approach to designing, planning, implementing, and governing enterprise IT architectures, ensuring that technology investments align directly with business strategy and objectives.
The TOGAF certification path has two levels: TOGAF Foundation (Level 1) — testing knowledge of TOGAF concepts and terminology, and TOGAF Certified (Level 2) — testing the ability to apply TOGAF in complex enterprise architecture scenarios. TOGAF 10 is the current version, though TOGAF 9.2 remains widely recognised and accepted by employers.
In Jamaica, eGov Jamaica’s digital transformation, the Bank of Jamaica’s digital infrastructure, and large bank technology roadmaps (NCB, Scotiabank Jamaica) all require enterprise architecture governance. As Jamaica’s tech sector matures, demand for enterprise architects who can bridge business strategy and IT is growing rapidly — with supply remaining very limited.

How to Obtain TOGAF Certification
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
TOGAF certification has no expiry date. Continuous learning is maintained through The Open Group webinars, publications, and the global enterprise architecture community. TOGAF is often combined with ITIL for full ITSM and architecture coverage — together they provide a comprehensive governance framework for enterprise IT.
Complementary frameworks and credentials: Zachman Framework (complementary EA framework), ArchiMate (The Open Group’s EA modelling language), ITIL 4 (service management), and at least one cloud platform certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are increasingly expected of senior enterprise architects in Jamaica.
