These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Jamaica Homes Jobs (“the Platform”), operated by Jamaica Homes and accessible at jobs.jamaica-homes.com. By registering an account or using the Platform, you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. About the Platform

Jamaica Homes Jobs is an online job board that connects employers in Jamaica with job-seeking candidates. We provide a platform for employers to post job listings and for candidates to search, apply, and manage their applications.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to register an account. By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Employer Accounts

Employers may post job listings subject to the purchase of an appropriate package. By posting a listing, the employer confirms that:

  • The vacancy is genuine and the employer has authority to fill it.
  • The listing does not contain false, misleading, or discriminatory content.
  • The role complies with all applicable Jamaican employment laws, including the Employment (Equal Pay for Men and Women) Act and the Labour Relations and Industrial Disputes Act.
  • Contact details provided are accurate and monitored.

We reserve the right to remove any listing that we consider inappropriate, misleading, or in breach of these terms, without refund.

4. Candidate Accounts

Candidates may create a free account to search and apply for jobs. By submitting a résumé or application, candidates confirm that:

  • The information in their profile and application is truthful and up to date.
  • They are legally entitled to work in Jamaica (or the location specified in the role).
  • They consent to their application details being shared with the relevant employer.

5. Payments

Job listing packages are priced in Jamaican dollars (JMD) and processed securely via Stripe. All prices shown on the Platform are inclusive of any applicable General Consumption Tax (GCT) unless otherwise stated. Payment is due at the time of purchase. Packages are non-transferable between accounts.

6. Refunds

Please refer to our Refund and Returns Policy for details on when refunds are available.

7. Prohibited Content

Users must not post or submit content that:

  • Is fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading
  • Constitutes or promotes illegal activity
  • Is discriminatory on grounds of race, gender, age, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • Solicits personal financial information from candidates
  • Constitutes spam or unsolicited commercial communications
  • Infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including design, text, logos, and software — is owned by or licensed to Jamaica Homes. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our written permission. Job listings posted by employers remain the intellectual property of the employer; by posting, the employer grants Jamaica Homes a non-exclusive licence to display the listing on the Platform.

9. Privacy

Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Data Protection Act, 2020 (Jamaica). By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described therein.

10. Limitation of Liability

Jamaica Homes Jobs acts as a platform only and is not a party to any employment relationship between an employer and a candidate. We do not verify the accuracy of job listings or candidate credentials and accept no liability for:

  • The content or accuracy of any job listing
  • The outcome of any application or hiring process
  • Any loss or damage arising from reliance on information posted on the Platform

To the fullest extent permitted by Jamaican law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant package in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate any account that we reasonably believe is in breach of these terms, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at office@jamaica-homes.com.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Jamaica. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica.
