Role Overview
Physiotherapists (PTs) in Jamaica treat musculoskeletal injuries, neurological conditions and post-surgical rehabilitation. They work in private physiotherapy clinics, sports medicine settings, hospitals, and increasingly in corporate occupational health programmes. The sports sector (cricket, athletics, football) also employs specialist physiotherapists.

Qualifications & Licensing
A BSc in Physiotherapy from UWI Mona or a recognised overseas institution, followed by registration with the Allied Health Council of Jamaica, is the standard path. Specialist post-graduate qualifications in areas such as sports physiotherapy, neurological rehab or orthopaedic manual therapy significantly increase earning potential.
