Government Telephone Operators (OPS/TO) manage switchboards, intercoms and telephone systems in Jamaica’s government offices, ensuring calls are efficiently routed and providing a professional first point of contact. The four-grade series (TO 1–4) spans Pay Bands 3–4.

Qualifications & Entry Requirements
- TO 1–2: 4 CXC passes including English Language; HEART Level 1 or 2 in Customer Service
- TO 3–4: Additional experience and supervisory aptitude required
- Clear speaking voice and strong telephone etiquette essential
