Government Archivists and Records Managers (PIDG/AR) are responsible for the preservation, management and access of Jamaica’s official government records — from colonial-era documents to digital records. Working at the Jamaica Archives and Records Department (JARD) and within ministry records units. The series runs from AR 4 to AR 7 across Pay Bands 6–12.

Qualifications & Entry Requirements
- AR 4: Diploma or Associate Degree in Records Management or Library/Information Studies
- AR 5–6: Bachelor’s in Archival Studies, History, Library Science or Records Management
- AR 7: Master’s in Archival Studies, Information Science or related field
- Experience with archival management systems (AtoM, ArchivesSpace) advantageous
